Krishnakumar Natarajan (KK) is the CEO and Managing Director of MindTree. MindTree is a listed entity. It is amongst the Top 20 Software exporters as per NASSCOM ranking
From Aug 1999 to March 2007, KK served as President– IT Services for MindTree. He took over as CEO in April 2008. As a result of his leadership, MindTree has added several Fortune 500 companies to its client list and has now a business with annual run rate of around $440m for FY 2012-13 and close to 11,000 MindTree Minds.
Prior to co-founding MindTree, KK was Chief Executive of the Electronic Commerce & Financial Solutions Division at Wipro, and held several other key positions there from 1982 until 1999. KK has been elected to the Executive Council of NASSCOM for five consecutive terms .He also Chairs the ‘Emerging Companies’ Forum.

Group Chief Executive, Tech & Operations, Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.
Chandrasekaran has over 25 years of experience in the global information technology industry. Currently, Chandrasekaran is the Group Chief Executive, Technology & Operations at Cognizant, which is a part of the NASDAQ 100 and S&P 500 indices, and the Fortune 500 list. His experience spans key functions such as corporate strategy, customer relationship management, business development and operations management.
Chandrasekaran has been associated with Cognizant since its founding in 1994, propelling its growth into a global delivery organization, spearheading newer solutions and championing crucial process initiatives. As an Executive Officer at Cognizant, he drives the Company’s global delivery management, capacity growth and process initiatives, proactively nurturing key alliances and leveraging business partnerships.
Prior to joining Cognizant, Chandrasekaran worked with Tata Consultancy Services, and was responsible for setting up its offices across the US and Europe.
Chandra has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College in Trichy, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Som Mittal is President of NASSCOM, the premier trade body for the IT-BPO Industry in India and is playing a key role to enable NASSCOM and the industry realize its strategic vision of `Transforming Business and Transform India’.
NASSCOM in its 20+ years of inception has partnered with the industry and government to define policies, build growth segments, enhance international collaboration, facilitate talent development, build global leadership, strengthen cyber security and help industry adopt best practices in all its spheres of operation. Technology enabled inclusive growth and building a vibrant domestic market are key initiatives launched by NASSCOM to enable better delivery of services, access and skill development in the country.


Senior Vice President
Sangeeta Gupta
Sangeeta Gupta holds the position of Senior Vice President – Events, Research & Communication at NASSCOM. She is responsible for organizing and facilitating NASSCOM events in India and overseas.
Sangeeta started her career with NASSCOM and has since then worked towards strengthening the association and interaction of NASSCOM members, government and media towards NASSCOM’s objective of being a catalyst for the growth of the Indian software and services industry.
Sangeeta has a degree in Economics from Delhi University and a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.


Vice President
Ameet Nivsarkar
Ameet Nivsarkar is part of the leadership team at NASSCOM, the apex body of the Indian IT and ITES/BPO industry. As Vice President, he leads NASSCOM’s international practice – the Global Trade Development Programme. He also oversees NASSCOM’s security initiatives. He has extensive experience In the information technology and business process outsourcing space.
Over the past 20 years, Ameet has worked in various positions across the globe, ranging from hands-on operations to strategic planning and policy. He has successfully demonstrated an ability to deliver in familiar and unfamiliar circumstances and is comfortable with building and managing teams.
In the IT-BPO sector, Ameet is extensively networked, having worked directly or indirectly with most leaders in the industry. His knowledge of the industry, its constituents, successes, opportunities and challenges is very high. He is also deeply connected with the ecosystem around the industry that involves the government, academia, media and the financial markets.
Ameet holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, underpinned by a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Pune University.

Rajiv A. Vaishnav
Rajiv is the Vice President – Member Outreach at NASSCOM, the premier trade body and the ‘Chamber of Commerce’ for the IT-BPO industry in India. He conceptualizes and implements multiple touch points for members by synergizing NASSCOM and its member companies’ interests and objectives at national levels. He is leading the ISO initiative within NASSCOM. He is on the Council of AICTE-WRC, member of State Management Council of Skill Development Initiative, Government of Maharashtra, Member of SNDT Woman’s University IQAC and member of IT task Force of Govt. of Gujarat.
Rajiv has been with NASSCOM for over eleven years and has rolled out NASSCOM’s Western Region operations with setting up of its first regional office in Mumbai, and later the Pune office.
He has been an integral part of NASSCOM’s Trusted Sourcing Initiative and has led the Cyber Labs and cyber awareness initiatives in Mumbai, Thane and Pune in partnership with the enforcement agencies.
His previous work experience of nearly 20 years spans across the corporate and not for-profit sectors. In 2000, Rajiv was invited by the U.S. Government to participate in their International Visitors programme on US Trade and World Market.
Rajiv is a Science graduate from Mumbai University. He is enthusiastic about developing new IT-ITeS destinations in the country, and fostering platforms for Industry-academia interactions as he believes these are the two most critical requirements for the Indian IT industry to maintain its globally advantageous position.
He is passionate about music and literature.
Vice President eGovernance and Domestic IT
Rama Vedashree
Rama Vedashree is Vice President, NASSCOM leading all initiatives in eGovernance and Domestic IT. She has a rich and varied 25 Years of Customer facing experience in the Industry with long stints in NIIT Technologies, Microsoft and General Electric. Some of her previous roles were as Regional Technical Head, NIIT, eGov Solutions Lead, Branch Head in Microsoft India, Director Sales Excellence in Microsoft Global Services, and Vice President- Enterprise/Government Sales, GE Corporate. She has to her credit roles in software consulting, training, sales, e-Governance projects and Business Development for Infrastructure projects.
She is a Gold Medallist from University of Hyderabad and has also done an Executive Education programme at Harvard, and a short programme in High Performance Computing at Cornell University.
She is very passionate about eGovernance domain and Citizen Services ICT Projects.
She represents NASSCOM in several committees of Government and also the Financial Inclusion Advisory Committee of Reserve Bank of India.
In her spare time she loves to participate in Long Walks, including Half Marathon.


Senior Director, Education Initiative
Sandhya Chintala
Dr. Sandhya Chintala has a rich background in international and national education
management. She brings to NASSCOM over 27 years of professional experience in
positions of management and consultancy for Governments, Universities and
teaching, both in India and internationally. Her role at NASSCOM includes providing
the roadmap for NASSCOM’s education initiatives and programmes with a vision to
development of education strategy, capacity building & assessment evaluation & the
development of industry standards, liaising between industry academia and
government and thus making India the preferred global destination for all IT and
ITES requirements.
Developing and administering innovative content, teaching and testing
methodologies for both international and national curricula and multimedia
courseware are her forte. She also excels in the design, development and
deployment of face-to-face and e-learning solutions with reference to the products,
processes and people required for them.
Her research, publications, and activities are related to the successful development
and implementation of communication skills integrated with formal and non-formal
methods of teaching, her publications and activities are also related to the successful
development and implementation of ‘Quality Assurance’ performance indicators.
Sandhya’s professional methods help identify knowledge gaps, reflect diverse
learning styles, focusing on multi-level and multi-grade teaching in the urban or rural
ambience, thereby encouraging an interest in, and love for, the subject concerned,
hence aiming to reduce the urban-rural educational divide.
Prior to joining NASSCOM she was holding the office of the Director of various
industry & academic organisations.


Regional Director, Tamil Nadu & Kerala
K Purushothaman
Mr. K Purushothaman has over 20 years of corporate experience in the area of Communication, Public Relations, Media, Government Affairs and Business Consulting. Most of the industry representatives know him as “Puru” has worked a Journalist with various publications before joining with Hyundai for more than 6 years managing Communications. Puru was the Head – Corporate Communications with Aircell Cellular during the time of its Merger with the Malaysian Telecom Giant “Maxis”. He played a significant role in the Integration process of Maxis & Aircell Merger. He was also heading Communications for Polaris in India for a while before associating with NASSCOM.
Puru is now heading NASSCOM as the Regional Director for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry. He is passionate in developing Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry as the most preferred IT destination and work with NASSCOM members in helping them for their betterment.

Abhishek Jee
Abhishek is an accomplished Information Technology professional with 20+ year association with Corporate Technologies & Consultancy Organization. He comes with strong Program Management background in managing delivery of global and large implementations of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Reference Data, Metadata, Data Quality and Data Governance, Custom Applications – Web & Distributed and Oracle ERP Implementation. His functional and technical expertise is in the domain of Financial Systems, Financial Consolidation & Allocation, Legal & Management Reporting, Credit Card Transaction Processing, Retail & Investment Banking, Healthcare, e-Commerce & Manufacturing.
Prior to joining NASSCOM, Abhishek was Lead Technical Architect with American Express for 8 years in their Global Corporate Technologies & American Express Bank Division. He has spent 4 years in USA as Data Warehousing Consultant for Hills Physician Medical Group, Bluelight.com (Online Store for KMart) and eBay. As part of his assignment with TCS, he worked on two key projects - Telekurs, Zurich (Master Card Transaction Processing) and Integrated Standard Banking System (Retail & Investment Banking Modules). His other engagement has been with Standard Chartered Bank, Greaves Limited and Hindustan Motors.
Abhishek is a science graduate from St. Xaviers College, Calcutta and one of the first pass out from NIIT 2 Year Programme. He has completed part time post graduation in Management from IIM, Calcutta. He brings in strong and demonstrated leadership experience in developing winning strategies; driving innovation and change; building and leveraging relationships; building talent pool of project managers, architects, business analysts and developers


Regional Director, Andhra Pradesh
Bidhan Kankate
Bidhan Kankate is currently Regional Director of Andhra Pradesh, for NASSCOM - the premier trade body and the ‘Chamber of Commerce’ for the IT-BPO industry in India. In this role, he is responsible for representing NASSCOM to its member companies in the region.
The Regional Director is also responsible to represent the industry to Government and Business delegations, investors and other visitors to the region. Regional Directors at NASSCOM are responsible for creating synergies with Members and leveraging our foot print in a more coordinated manner. Additionally, Bidhan also leads NASSCOM’s Quality Initiative. The NASSCOM Quality forum has the objective of enabling IT Software Quality Business and intellectual property from India.
Bidhan has been instrumental in driving the Andhra Pradesh region activities, building Membership, and enhancing relationship with the State Government. Currently he is also keenly focused on helping the IT industry grow in Vishakapatnam. Apart from this he is closely involved with APSCHE in promoting the CARD (Career Awareness and Recruitment Drive) in AP.
Prior to NASSCOM, Bidhan has worked with Organizations such as Mudra, Lintas, ITC Hotels, GE, Infosys and EMRI.
Bidhan is an Agricultural Graduate from APAU, Hyderabad. In addition to his professional interests, Bidhan is a keen golfer. He is also fond of English theater.


Vice President
K S Viswanathan
KS Viswanathan has around 30 years of general management and leadership experience in the Indian business context building key executive relationship and a strong customer capital in diverse business environment. His work experience has largely been in the IT industry and social sector comprising of developing and executing operational strategies, managing customer engagement programs, driving sales process, acceleration of business, maintaining the key relationship management with senior executives of internal and external stake holders and establishing models for customer acquisition and retention.
He has held strategic & leadership positions at Wipro, Dell, Azim Premji Foundation and Hilleman Laboratories. As the Chief Executive for India geography at Wipro Infotech (2003-2008), he is credited with the positive transformation of the sales and business landscape for Wipro in India.
He was the first country manager for Dell in India in 2000 and was instrumental in establishing Dell’s direct business model in India and positioning Dell as a preferred product of choice in identified business segments.
In the last three years, he has been associated with the establishment of Azim Premji University and MSD Wellcome Trust Hilleman Laboratories.

Dr. Anupam Khanna
Dr. Anupam Khanna has had a long and distinguished career in economic policy. He spent thirty years with the World Bank in Washington DC, the last five as Senior Manager (Director), Policy Support. Between 2000-2003 Anupam was Chief Economist for the Royal Dutch/Shell Group based in London, United Kingdom. He also lived in Beijing to set up the World Bank’s Resident Mission in China. Earlier he was the Senior Advisor to the Chief Economist (Joseph Stiglitz) of the World Bank and also served as the Special Assistant to the President during 1989-91..
Anupam's rich professional experience spans all continents and several sectors including technology, industry, energy, telecommunications, urban development especially in major emerging markets, notably Brazil, China, Kenya, Nigeria, Philippines and, of course, India. He led several studies in India like on technological innovation in manufacturing that contributed to significant policy reforms.
Anupam is currently Principal Adviser to the high-level National Transport Development Policy Committee charged by the Prime Minister to develop a long-term strategy covering for transport in India through 2030. Since returning to India in 2009 he has also been Senior Advisor to the President of the Global Development Network and serves on advisory groups for policy research in India and the UK.
Anupam graduated with distinction at the top of his class in 1974 from IIT Kanpur which recently conferred him a Distinguished Alumnus. He holds a Ph.D. and two M.S. degrees in from Stanford University in California. He has also been a visiting fellow at Oxford University researching global governance and international business regulation.
